Cllr Debbie Andre declared a non-pecuniary interest in minute number 4, as a Governor of the Federation that the School in question was a member of.

THAT the following circulation of the minutes the Chairman be authorised to sign, as a true record.

Exclusion of the Public and Press

To consider passing a resolution that, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business, namely Agenda item number 4, on the grounds that there is likely to be the disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act and in all circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

RESOLVED:

 

THAT under Section 100(A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business, namely Minute number 4 on the grounds that there was likely to be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act and in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

Confidential Report of the Director of Children's Services

To consider a report relating to School Transport.

Minutes:

The Chairman welcomed those present and introduced members of the Committee. He confirmed that all members had read the papers and outlined the procedure that was to be followed.

 

Consideration was given to an appeal relating to Home to School Transport.

 

The appellant was in attendance.

 

Following representations from both the appellant and the Children’s Services representative, questions were asked by members of the Sub Committee.

 

The Sub Committee, having considered all the reasons given by the appellant in their written and oral submission, decided that the appeal should be upheld for the remainder of the academic year 2020/21.

 

RESOLVED:

 

THAT the appeal be upheld and temporary home to school transport be provided for the remainder of the academic year 2020/21 only, to enable alternative transport arrangements to be put in place and allow the transition to a new school.
