Election of a Chairman for the Day

To elect a chairman for the day, in the absence of the chairman and vice-chairman.  

Minutes:

Due to the absence of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman, it was necessary to elect a Chairman for the day.

 

RESOLVED:

 

THAT Cllr Jonathan Bacon be elected Chairman for the day.

Declarations of Interest

To invite Members to declare any interest they might have in the matters on the agenda.

Minutes:

No declarations were received at this stage.

3.

Exclusion of the Public and Press

To consider passing a resolution that, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business, namely Agenda item number 4, on the grounds that there is likely to be the disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act and in all circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

RESOLVED:

 

THAT under Section 100(A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business, namely Minute number 4 on the grounds that there was likely to be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act and in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

Report of the Director for Children's Services

To consider a report relating to School Transport.

Minutes:

The Chairman welcomed those present and outlined the procedure that was to be followed. The appellant was in attendance.

 

Consideration was given to an appeal relating to Home to School Transport.

 

Following representations from both the appellant and the Children’s Services representative, questions were asked by members of the Sub Committee.

 

The Sub Committee, having carefully considered all the reasons given by the appellant in their written and oral submission, decided that the appeal should be refused.

 

RESOLVED:

 

THAT the appeal be refused.
